This is a 5x5 cradleboard by Ann D'Angelo.  The texture is part of the board itself.

If you don't know - and before January of 2016, Ann didn't - Molly Whuppie is a story similar to Jack and the Beanstalk, but with a female protagonist, instead of a male one.  It sure would be cool if little girls everywhere had stories of female courage and cleverness to inspire them.
